Identification
All signers must personally appear before the notary and present valid government-issued identification as required by South Carolina law.
Document Responsibility
Clients are responsible for ensuring documents are complete and ready for notarization. Magnolia Ridge Notary cannot prepare legal documents or determine which type of notarization is required.
Legal Advice
Magnolia Ridge Notary is not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, explain legal documents, or recommend which documents should be signed.
Fees
South Carolina notarial fees are established by state law. Mobile travel fees and optional service fees, including printing, scanbacks, document delivery, and other convenience services, will be discussed before the appointment is confirmed.
Payment
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Refusal of Service
A notarization may be refused if required identification cannot be provided, the signer appears unwilling or unable to understand the document, the notarization would violate South Carolina law, or other circumstances prevent the notary from performing the requested service.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Magnolia Ridge Notary understands that plans sometimes change.
Rescheduling
Appointments may be rescheduled whenever possible by providing as much advance notice as possible.
Cancellations
Appointments canceled before travel begins generally will not incur cancellation fees.
Travel
If travel to the appointment location has already begun, the agreed-upon travel fee may still apply.
Printed Documents
If loan documents or other requested documents have already been printed prior to cancellation, applicable printing charges may still apply.
Late Arrivals
If a signer is significantly late, the appointment may need to be rescheduled depending on scheduling availability.
No-Shows
Clients who fail to appear for a scheduled appointment may remain responsible for applicable travel and printing fees.
