General Notary Services
No. Documents requiring notarization should generally be signed in the notary’s presence unless the specific notarial act or applicable law allows otherwise. Please wait until your appointment before signing.
A current government-issued photo ID is required for every signer. Examples include:
Driver’s License
State ID
U.S. Passport
Military ID
I can explain the differences between common notarial acts, but I cannot choose the notarial act for you or provide legal advice. If you’re unsure, please contact the document preparer or attorney who provided your paperwork.
Yes. Every person whose signature is being notarized must personally appear before the notary.
If your documents require witnesses, please let me know when scheduling your appointment. Witness services may be available with advance notice for an additional fee, depending on availability. If witness services are unavailable, you will be responsible for providing any required witnesses.
No. If you don’t have access to a printer, document printing can be added to your appointment for an additional fee. Please let me know in advance so your documents can be printed and prepared before we meet.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. Travel fees or other agreed-upon convenience fees may still apply if the appointment is canceled after travel has begun or after documents have already been printed.

Travel fees are based on the total round-trip distance from Charleston, South Carolina (29401). You’ll always receive a quote before your appointment is confirmed.
Yes, depending on availability. Additional travel fees may apply for appointments outside the primary service area.
Yes. Mobile appointments are available at hospitals, nursing facilities, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers, and similar healthcare facilities. The signer must be willing to sign, aware of what they are signing, and able to communicate their intent. A valid government-issued photo ID is generally required unless another legally acceptable form of identification applies.

Loan Signing Services
A Loan Signing Agent is a commissioned notary who assists borrowers during real estate closings by verifying identities, notarizing documents, and helping ensure the package is completed accurately before it is returned to the hiring company.
I can identify documents and explain the signing process, but I cannot provide legal, financial, or lending advice. Questions about your loan should be directed to your lender or title company.
Yes. Printing and scan-back services are available when requested and may involve additional fees.

Marriage Ceremony Services
Magnolia Ridge Notary specializes in simple marriage ceremonies for elopements and intimate weddings with the couple and up to five additional guests.
No. Marriage ceremony services are designed for small, intimate ceremonies and are not intended for large weddings or formal wedding venues.
Absolutely. You’re welcome to exchange your own personal vows during your ceremony.
No. South Carolina does not require witnesses for a valid marriage ceremony.
Yes. Keepsake photography is available as an optional add-on using a Canon DSLR camera. This service is intended to capture a small collection of portraits and candid moments following your ceremony.

Pricing & Payment
